Managing Change – The Coast Guard Way
Dr. Stephen Wherenberg has written one of the best articles I’ve ever read about how to successfully manage change in organizations. Dr. Wherenberg creates a model that illustrates the re-inforcing cycle of culture building in organizations. He then describes how to simultaneously identify and use the organization’s unique cycle for creating its culture to change the culture. The article, The Coast Guard Charts A Course for Enterprise Change Management, appeared in Global Business and Organizational Excellence, a Wiley publication. I thank both Steve and Bernadette Steele, Sr. Editor for making it available.
