Dr. Anne Perschel, founder and President of Germane Consulting, presents an engaging and compelling case for the critical role of women in resolving what Harvard University terms a “leadership crisis.” She discusses how women have been and must continue to change the prevailing leadership culture in business in the United States. Dr. Perschel reviews the history of leadership from the 1930’s through the current day leadership crisis. She presents research that links women with transformational leadership - a style that experts say is needed to resolve the crisis and ensure that American businesses improve their competitive position. Finally she discusses what companies can do to remove obstacles they face in tapping the capabilities of women leaders, resulting in changes to the leadership culture that will enable men to use their full potential as well.
A compelling business case for the promotion of women into the highest levels of management, backed up by solid and current research. Organizations seeking greater performance that ignore this information do so at their own peril. The ‘rule of 3′ provided additional perspective.

Anne’s inspiring presentation provided very practical insights into the leadership approaches that are typically seen as ‘male’ or ‘female’ but that both men and women in leadership roles need to apply to be effective in today’s organizations and in the future.
