Leading sometimes requires that you step back to lead forward. Learn when, why, and how while discovering a law of organizational physics.
Fear not the blank canvas for the leader is an artist who paints the future, inspiring others to make it real.
In a recent presentation to managers on employee motivation, participants highlighted what matters most when it comes to their own motivation. The number one factor is a meaningful challenge. Challenge means they have the skills needed but must stretch these same skills, and possibly some new ones to succeed They also indicated the recognition by managers and leaders are the most important rewards.
There is one and only one reason to lead, and if you can lead, you must.
Your arrival at the C-suite will not happen by accident, coincidence or luck.
Paving your road to the C-suite
Nor will it result from being smart, accomplished and talented…alone. You have to pave your path, then move along down the road, purposefully and with a plan.
